Hi, I'm Rosalind!
First of all, thanks for being here!
Photography is something that has been a passion of mine for years, but I only really dove into it a couple of years ago. I was on maternity leave at the beginning of 2020 and felt very depleted. As a creative, I was feeling the lack of interaction with others, and the monotony of maternity leave life with a toddler and a newborn. Of course, I loved the time with my kids, but there isn't much that you can get creative with when changing diapers and making lunches.
One day, I was putting (what felt like!) the millionth load of laundry away, and I happened to look on the top shelf in my closet and saw my old camera. I wasn't sure if it still worked, but desperate for a creative outlet, I pulled it down, blew the dust off of it, and went outside and began snapping pictures of my family ... and the rest, as they say, is history.
Two years later, I am having more fun with photography than ever.
I've upgraded my camera, spent countless hours practicing, and have fallen in love with helping people capture the moments they want to last forever.
The Experience
My goal is to make each session fun. I want you to feel comfortable, have a good time, and leave with photos that you'll cherish forever. Whether you want to do an urban or rural setting, I will do my part to research the location beforehand, find the good spots, and streamline it to make it a great experience for you.
Family Session
It's true what they say - the days are long but the years are short. Let's work together to make these moments last a little longer.
(P.S. - it's normal to argue in the car on the way to the session and to have to bribe your kids to smile the whole time! Don't worry - you may feel flustered at first, but I'll do my best to make it comfortable for you and remind you why you're doing these photos in the first place!).
Maternity Session
You're about to become mama and dada, which feels pretty wild to think about if you're first-time parents. Let me help you capture the magic and anticipation of this season of life. And hey ... no one ever said maternity photos had to be serious (see photo with the sign below, haha!) ... if you're up for it, I'm up for it.
Newborn Session
You're tired, covered in spit-up, and have never been so in love with someone you just met in your whole life. Those newborn days are something special, and I don't take for granted the intimacy of those cherished moments. They're sweet, beautiful, and go by way too quickly (well ... slowly if you ask a mom at 3 am, but never mind that ... haha).
